Which emergencies can the plan cover?

Is an emergency response plan the same as an evacuation plan?
No. Evacuation is one part of emergency response. A complete ERP also addresses detection, alarm, command, communication, incident control, medical support, external coordination and recovery.
Do you conduct mock drills after preparing the plan?
Mock-drill planning, facilitation and evaluation can be included as a separate or combined scope. Testing is valuable because it reveals timing, behaviour, communication and resource gaps that document review alone cannot show.
How often should emergency contacts and plans be reviewed?
Contacts should be checked frequently and whenever personnel or agencies change. The full plan should also be reviewed after drills, incidents and material changes to hazards, occupancy, layout, resources or operations.
