What is Fire Extinguisher Inspection?
A fire extinguisher inspection is a structured visual and records-based review of portable fire extinguishers across a facility. It checks whether the apparent type and rating suit the local hazard, units are positioned and accessible, identification is clear, physical condition is acceptable and inspection, refilling or maintenance records are current. It also identifies gaps in coverage and user awareness.
This inspection does not itself refill, recharge, hydrostatically test, dismantle or certify an extinguisher. Those activities must be performed by an authorised and competent service provider under an agreed separate scope.

No. Inspection checks visible readiness, suitability, location and records. Servicing may require dismantling, refilling, replacement of components or testing by an authorised service provider.
Will every extinguisher be checked?
