What is SHE Audit?
A Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) audit is an integrated review of workplace conditions, operational controls, records and management practices. It looks beyond isolated hazards to examine how the organisation identifies risks, maintains controls, monitors performance and closes corrective actions across safety, occupational health and environmental topics.
A SHE audit is sampling-based and does not replace statutory inspection, laboratory testing, detailed engineering design or certification unless those activities are specifically included in the proposal.

How Safety Zest conducts the audit
Safety Zest agrees the locations, activities, applicable client criteria and audit boundaries before the visit. Auditors review available records, conduct an opening meeting, inspect selected work areas, interview responsible personnel and test samples of critical controls. Findings are discussed factually, classified by risk and linked to practical actions. The final report separates observed evidence, improvement advice and items that require further specialist study.
Before mobilisation, the agreed proposal records the locations, records, sampling basis, deliverables and exclusions. This prevents hidden assumptions and helps the site arrange safe access and the right stakeholders.
