LT Panels
Thermal inspection of accessible low-voltage panels and feeders.
Yes. Useful thermography generally requires equipment to operate under a representative load.
No. Thermography is a diagnostic inspection and complements a wider electrical safety audit.
Only where authorised and where the client provides safe access arrangements under site procedures.
Yes. Multi-site surveys can use a standard format and consolidated summary.
Share your location, equipment list and operating schedule. We’ll recommend the inspection plan and man-days.
Thermal imaging is most useful when equipment is energised, carrying representative load and safely accessible. The client retains operational control and provides authorised personnel, permits and safe panel-opening arrangements.
| Observed pattern | Possible consideration | Recommended response |
|---|---|---|
| Localised connection heating | Loose, deteriorated or high-resistance joint | Plan safe inspection and corrective maintenance |
| One phase warmer than others | Load imbalance or connection condition | Review loading and verify electrical condition |
| Components uniformly warm | High load or ventilation limitation | Compare load, rating and environment |
| No meaningful difference | Equipment may be lightly loaded | Consider rescanning under representative load |
Thermography identifies thermal patterns; it does not by itself establish the definitive cause or replace isolation, testing and competent electrical investigation. Emissivity, reflections, load and ambient conditions influence interpretation.
